Early Intervention
Your baby may have been referred for an assessment or identified as having a developmental delay requiring specialist input. This could be provided by one of our early childhood/early intervention services. You will receive information, support, advice and hands-on guidance to assist your child’s development up to school entry.

Early Childhood
Most of our affiliated centres providing programmes for children from birth to school age are licensed early childhood centres. The programmes are delivered by trained specialists and focus on learning through play. Children’s development is closely monitored and individual goals set to help them reach their maximum potential.

Primary School Facilities
At our primary school units, children receive the best of both worlds – they have their developmental needs met as well as the ability to interact with their mainstream peers. Children fully participate in the school community while benefitting from a Conductive Education programme.

High School Facilities
This setting provides the ability for a continuation of the CE programmes in a secondary setting. Students have the ability to socialise with their peers while having their educational and physical needs met by specialist staff. There is a strong focus on developing independence and life skills in preparation for adult life.

Adult Programmes
Offer support to clients who have cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, head injuries, strokes etc. There is a focus on skill development, particularly self-help and life skills working towards being as independent as possible. Again motivation and consistency are the key to maximising people’s ability.
The groups also have a social focus to help improve speech, communication and confidence.

Who can benefit
People of all ages – babies through to adults can benefit from Conductive Education.
CE was developed and is most effective for people who have motor (movement) disorders.
People attending CE may have increased to decreased muscle tone, balance and coordination problems, difficulties with speech, learning and hearing or visual problems.
Over time it has become apparent that the holistic nature and routines basis of the CE programme is also very effective when applied to other conditions such as:
